The research activity of the department focuses on the preparation of AIIIBV semiconductor materials by liquid phase epitaxy and their doping with rare-earth elements to obtain high-purity materials for sensitive ionizing radiation detectors. Processes of anodic etching of micro/nanopores in semiconductors are also investigated.
