MAE Application Instructions

Thank you for your interest in the MAE program. We encourage you to apply. It is free!

To apply for the MAE Program, fill out the MAE Online Application.

Note: Until December 2011, you have to fill out the entire form and submit. Starting in December, you will be able to create a personal account and save in-process application forms and return to complete the form before submitting. With this account you will also be able to return to the web site to check the status of your application. If you want to submit an application before the personal account is available, we suggest that you download the a pdf sample of the form and prepare your input before doing it online.

There is no hard deadline for application to the MAE Program. We accept application year-round, and you will receive an admissions decision within 15 days of when the application is complete.

We offer admission to the upcoming September start of the program until the program is full. After the program is full for that year, we can put you on a waiting list or offer you admission for the next year. So, apply early! It’s better for you!

Students who will need a long-term visa to stay in the Czech Republic during the study program are strongly encouraged to apply before March 31st for the upcoming September start of the program. If you need a visa and you don’t apply by March 31st, you might have a problem getting a visa in time.

The last page of the online application form specifies the other materials that you need to send to complete your application in addition to the online form. These include uploading electronic files and mailing paper materials.

Electronic files include:

  • scans of your translated diplomas and transcripts (not required if the originals are in English),
  • scans of your original diplomas and transcripts,
  • electronic or scanned standardized score reports (not required),
  • a scan of the main page of your passport.

Paper materials to mail by post include:

  • photocopies of all diplomas and transcripts,
  • original certified translations of all diplomas and transcripts if the originals are not in English.

The online application form also asks for contact information for two references.

Your application is not complete until all of these materials—including all uploaded files, all mailed paper materials, and all responses from your references—have been received.
When your application is complete, we will notify you. You will receive an admissions decision within 15 calendar days from when the application is complete.

The admissions decision can be:

  • Admit to the program,
  • Do not admit to the program,
  • Put on a waiting list until closer to the start of the program.

If you are offered admission to the program, you will receive a specific offer for the tuition level. To accept the offer, you will need to make a tuition deposit payment within 30 days of when we sent the offer to you. At that point your admission is secured, and you can plan on studying in the MAE Program in Prague the next September!
