LECO Pegasus IVD

Two dimensional capillary GC system, combined with the ultra-fast TOF-MS, changed our possibilities in analyses of complex samples of volatile compounds. No longer limited to two analytical dimensions, the Pegasus 4D GC×GC-TOFMS system provides us with four dimensions of analytical resolution for significantly more complete complex sample analysis. With Pegasus we are able to detect hundreds-to-thousands more volatile organic compounds than with previously used conventional one dimensional GC-MS. Separations, which previously resulted in dozens or hundreds of peaks, now yield thousands of individual components from complex mixtures. Other unique processing capabilities (such as sample comparisons) allow for automated mining of complex GC×GC data to extract previously unidentifiable similarities and differences.

Waters GCT Premier

Location:   Infochemicals (Dr. Irena Valterová)
Responsible person:   Anna Březinová (phone 220 183 481)

GCT Premier

Waters GCT Premier is a benchtop orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight (OA-TOF) mass spectrometer delivers high sensitivity, resolution, and exact mass measurements for GC/MS applications. In our installation it is connected with the latest model of Agilent gas chromatograph - Agilent 7890A GC System. GCT Premier and its fast data acquisition rates and automated workflow features match the requirements for MS detection when coupled to high-resolution capillary GC. Thanks to the exact mass measurement this system serves especially in the infochemical identification tasks.

Varian Saturn 2000R

Location:   Infochemicals (Dr. Irena Valterová)
Responsible persons:   Dr. Pavel Jiroš (phone 220 183 492)

Varian Saturn 2000R

Varian Saturn 2000R is GC-MS system with ion-trap MS detector. There are several unique features, which makes the Saturn attractive tool in volatile infochemicals analyses. Ion trap is exceptional in that it can offer internal ionization, Chemical Ionization (CI), and MS/MS in a a small benchtop GC-MS system.
