Structure of the La Tene settlement in central Bohemia

Settlement structure of a selected region was investigated by
traditional methods combined with analytical surface survey. The
„industrial zone model“ was created, where industrial zones are
envisaged as groups of communities controlling and exploiting
natural sources and organizing specialized production (in the
case studied, iron smelting and sapropelite working) of considerable
extent as well as exchange of the products.
