Conclusion
Even despite a number of simplifying assumptions on which the model is based, it was possible to demonstrate that the rental housing reform consisting in a transfer to a second-generation rent control system would mean, in aggregate terms, a growth of the budgets of rental housing lessors and, on condition that the deregulation would be spread over a longer time period, it could be carried out while preserving the affordability of rental housing for existing tenants.
