Due to the strict security precautions at European airports, luggage is not always reloaded from one airplane to another in time. We recommend that those of you who are coming from overseas or on indirect flight connections take all essentials for the first night/day of your stay in Prague on board with you.
Taxi from the airport to the Masaryk dormitory hotel
We suggest you take the company AAA-Taxi. If you land at terminal North 1, their station is in front of exit D. If you land at terminal North 2 - their station is in front of exit E. In case there would not be a car available at the moment of your arrival (which shouldn’t happen), you can book a car at the phone number 14014. They are able to be at the airport within 5 minutes from your call. The fare from the airport to your hotel should be around 300 CZK (approx. 12 Euro or 13 USD). Bus from the airport to the Masaryk dormitory hotel
You can take a bus # 119 that has stops at both terminals. You must buy a ticket (20 CZK) before you enter the bus either at the ticket machine or at a newsstand at the airport. Get off at its last stop (Metro Dejvicka). The dormitory hotel is about 300 meters from the bus stop on the way back to the airport.

If you stop a taxi on the street from another taxi company ALWAYS ask the driver to tell you the distance to the desired destination (in km) and to give you an approximate price quote for the trip BEFORE you enter the car. Rates may vary from company to company, but the difference should not be much in excess of the price list indicated above. If you get a price quote that is much higher than this price list DO NOT enter the car and try to stop another taxi.
