The GDN is an open, worldwide network of policy and research institutes whose aim is to support the generation and sharing of knowledge for economic development, and to promote its policy application.

IDEA

The Institute for Democracy and Economic Analysis (IDEA) is a modern and politically independent think-tank that will (a) generate and disseminate a broad range of leading ideas for policy, based on solid analysis, (b) contribute to the creation of a national vision and strategy for the future and (c) provide citizens with sufficient information to make their voices heard in public life and to hold their elected leaders accountable to the public interest.

Library

The CERGE-EI Library, established in 1992, has grown into a rich resource of economic literature, housing journals and contemporary economic literature. Today it is considered the best library of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe and, as such, is an important center of services in Economics.

Faculty & Staff

More than 200 people from two dozen different countries work or study at CERGE-EI. Each contributes to fulfilling the CERGE-EI mission to provide the best economics education and to produce economic research of the highest quality.
