Ondřej Rydval has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at CERGE-EI since 2007. He graduated with B.A. Hons in Economics from the University of Cambridge in 2001 and received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from CERGE, Prague, in 2003 and 2007, respectively. He was a Junior Researcher at CERGE-EI during 2004-2007 and a Visiting Student Researcher at the California Institute of Technology during Feb-Apr 2006. He received the Trinity College and Cambridge Overseas Trust Scholarships during 1997-2001, a Citigroup Foundation Scholarship in fall 2002, and a World Bank Fellowship in 2003. He has been appointed a Fellow of the Cambridge Overseas Society since 2000. Since 2007, he has become a Research Associate at the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena, Germany.
