Lord John Eatwell

John Eatwell is a British economist holding Ph.D. from Harvard University and currently he works as a Professor of Financial Policy and a Director of Centre for Financial Analysis and Policy. He has also served as a President of Queens' College at Cambridge University since 1996. His professional experience includes serving as an economic adviser to Neil Kinnock, leader of the British Labor Party (1985 – 1992), a Principal Opposition Spokesman on Treasury and Economic Affairs (1993 – 1997), a member of the board of the Securities and Futures Authority (1997 – 2002) and a member of the Regulatory Decisions Committee of the Financial Services Authority (2001 – 2006), as well. Since 2009 he is a member of the House of Lords' Economic Affairs Committee. Additionally he advises to E.M. Warburg Pincus & Co. International Ltd, and to Palamon Capital Partners, LLP. Mr. Eatwell is also Chief Economic Adviser to the Chartered Management Institute. Lord Eatwell is a Trustee at the Institute for Public Policy Research, Non-Executive Director for SAV Credit Ltd, Chairman of the Royal Opera House Pension Fund and Chairman of the Consumer Panel, Classic fm.
