PhD in Economics
CERGE-EI offers a Western-style PhD program consisting of two years of MA-level coursework, followed by approximately two to four years of supervised PhD dissertation research. Students frequently conduct part of their research at top-flight universities in Western Europe and North America.

- The MA degree is US chartered, and the PhD degree is also US chartered and fully accredited in the Czech Republic. The MA degree is awarded after 2 years of coursework and General Exams, the PhD after 2 to 4 additional years of supervised dissertation research).
