Potential cell-based therapeutic interventions for human diseases and tissue engineering are rapidly expanding in the research laboratory, spanning many diseases and medical disciplines. In today´s world, biotechnologies are rapidly expanding, and the project of the Innovation Biomedical Centre reflects this trend. The IBC helps to make available for physicians and patiens promising new treatment methods using cell-based therapies, tissue engineering, biomaterials, nanotechnology and immunopharmacology. In the newly built Centre, samples for clinical and preclinical studies will be prepared. Finally, provided all legislative requirements are fulfilled, medical materials may be produced here as well.
