Czech Mobility Centre (CMC) Project

 

EURAXESS Centre of the Czech Republic is a component of a European-wide network of mobility centres. We aid predominantly foreign scientific-research employees and their employers through counselling on the easy course of arranging stays in host countries. We provide important information on entry into the country, formalities connected with residence permits, on insurance offers, health care, financial affairs and education.

 

A significant service is personal assistance for arriving foreign scientists in dealing with the necessary formalities at the workplaces of the Ministry of the Interior and Alien Registration Office. We endeavour to improve the integration of foreign scientific employees and their family members in the Czech Republic, for which we organise conversation classes in Czech and a number of cultural-social events.

 

We organise training and seminars oriented on the problem of scientific-research mobility intended for foreign researchers, their employers as well as those interested in foreign work stays or internships.

Every week, we organise a ‘Meeting with the Czech Language and Culture’ in the areas of the Euraxess Centre. It is a one-hour conversation in Czech with a focus on Czech history and culture. In July, we organise a Summer School of the Czech Language, a week-long intensive language course, which takes place in the Zámecký hotel Třešť. We organise a number of cultural-social events intended for foreign scientific-research employees and their family members. We help foreign scientists become acquainted with their colleagues from various workplaces and in an informal atmosphere make new contacts.
