The scientific goal of this joint project is to develop a fast and efficient modeling framework for the theoretical study of two-dimensional magneto-optical photonic crystals. In the second step this developed tool will be employed to design and optimize novel integrated non-reciprocal magnetooptical circuits based on a photonic crystals layout. Within the experimental part of the project the developed models will be validated by characterization of fabricated prototypes of novel non-reciprocal photonic crystals circuits.
