Abstract:
A new synthetic brassinolide analogue, 2ŕ,3ŕ-dihydroxy-17á-(3-methylbutyryloxy)-7-oxa-B-homo-5ŕ-androstan-6-one exhibits typical brassinolide activity characterised by elongation, swelling, twisting and splitting of the bean second internode. The synthesis of bleis new analogue is described as wel as its bioassay.
