Bilgehan Karabay received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from the University of Virginia. During the years 2006 and 2009 he was working as an Economist in The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. Since 2009 he has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics at the University of Auckland. Since 2012 he is a Senior Researcher at CERGE, Charles University. He has published in European Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of International Economics, Economics and Politics and other journals. He is a member of American Economic Association.
