2012

Organizer:Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics AS CR, v.v.i
Name:Engineering Mechanics 2012
Date:
14.5.2012 - 17.5.2012
Contact person: Cyril Fischer, PhD.
The objective of the 15 th ENGINEERING MECHANICS conference is to provide a forum for researchers to discuss the state-of-the-art in Mechanics of Solids, Fluids and Thermomechanics, this particularly in connection with problems under investigation in the Czech Republic.

Organizer:Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics AS CR, v.v.i
Name:XIIIth Bilateral Czech/German Symposium
Date:
4.6.2012 - 8.6.2012
Contact person:Ondřej Jiroušek, Eng., PhD
The objective of the bilateral symposium is to bring together mainly young scientists, who are actively involved in experimental solid mechanics, theoretically and practically, in order to exchange experience, to report on the present state-of-the-art as well as on running research projects, to discuss due questions and problems and to promote the co-operation between individuals as well as between institutions. Symposium will take place in Centre of Excelence Telč (CET). Telč is one of the most beautiful towns in the Czech Republic, added to the UNESCO list of world cultural heritage in 1992.

2010

Organizer:Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics AS CR, v.v.i
Name:2nd Historic Mortars Conference
Date:
22.9.2010 - 24.9.2010
Contact person:Jan Válek, Ph.D.
An objective of the 2nd Historic Mortars Conference is to bring together scientists, technicians and professionals involved in research and studies of historic mortars to present and discuss advances in this topic. The main theme of the conference is the conservation of historic buildings and works of art, i.e. studying mortars with respect to repair. This a unifying field where a truly interdisciplinary collaboration is needed and where contributions of archaeologist, architects, civil and structural engineers, geologists, material scientists, chemists, conservation scientists and art restorers interested in mortars should have their place. Special focus of the conference will be on application research and technical knowledge to conservation practice and vice versa in its reflection on such recommendations.

Organizer:Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics AS CR, v.v.i
Name:XIIth Bilateral German/Czech Symposium
Date:
30.6.2010 - 3.7.2010
Contact person:Ondřej Jiroušek, Eng., PhD
The objective of the bilateral symposium is to bring together mainly young scientists, who are actively involved in experimental solid mechanics, theoretically and practically, in order to exchange experience, to report on the present state-of-the-art as well as on running research projects, to discuss due questions and problems and to promote the co-operation between individuals as well as between institutions. Symposium will take place in Bremen, a beautiful Hanseatic city in northwestern Germany.
