The training and recreation centre Lštění is situated in a beautiful region of Prachatice close to the Šumava mountain range near the town Vimperk. The village of Lštění (15 houses) lies atop a hill at the altitude of 890 m. It is dominated by a large pilgrimage church of St. Vojtěch from 13th century, which was renovated in baroque style in 18th century.
The building of the centre originally served as a regional school, and was renovated several times for the new purposes (the latest renovations of the interiors – kitchen modernization, furniture in the rooms – were completed in 2008, outer technical equipment was renovated in 2012). The village has no shops and the closest place to purchase provisions is in 3 km distant village Šumavské Hoštice. More extensive shopping can be done in the small towns of Vlachovo Březí or Vimperk.
The place offers many possibilities of foot trips into a very well preserved and not too frequently visited natural region. Particularly, the conditions for mushroom picking are ideal. In winter, with good snow cover, visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing (optionally after going by car e.g. to Kvilda or Kubova Huť).
