IOCB sabbatical visit program

The Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (IOCB), Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v.v.i., opens a call for positions within the "IOCB Sabbatical Visit Program" for prominent scientists from reputable foreign universities and research institutions. The aim of the program is to expand contacts between the Institute's researchers and excellent scientists from abroad, to establish a framework for future cooperation, and to promote the Institute's activities.

Salary for the "IOCB Sabbatical Visit Program" is granted based on an application made by an IOCB host scientist. A guest's visit should last no less than six weeks and no more than one year. A guest should provide a written statement that his/her parent organization has granted him/her a sabbatical leave and will not pay the guest's stay at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry ASCR, v.v.i., or that it will pay his/her stay to a limited extent only, describing the compensation paid during the guest's stay at the Institute. Together with the application, the host should enclose the guest's CV, a list of his/her publications, and an agreement between the host and the guest regarding the topic of the guest's work and the work arrangements for the guest by the host. The agreement should also state explicitly that publications resulting from the guest's activities at the Institute will bear the address of the Institute and that the Institute will be entitled to the part of intellectual property created at the Institute.

Candidates for the "IOCB Sabbatical Visit Program" will be selected by the Selection Committee for the "IOCB Postdoctoral Project and Sabbatical Visit Program" at its regular semiannual meetings.
