Institute of Physiology AS CR, v.v.i.,

deals with scientific research of physiological and pathophysiological processes in animals and/or humans, especially in the field of neurophysiology, cardiovascular physiology and studies of molecular and cell mechanisms of physiological functions, with the aim to broaden the theoretical foundations of human medicine. The Institute contributes to the improvement of the level of knowledge and education and to the transfer of basic scientific findings to practical applications. A number of prominent scientists are engaged in the Institute, winning prestigious awards and publishing in renowned scientific journals, see Institute Achievements.
