Application Instructions

Application Deadline
There is NO application deadline.
Students who need an EU visa: You should apply before March 31, 2013. If you need a visa and you don’t apply by March 31, 2013, you might have a problem getting a visa in time.
We accept applications year-round until the program is full. After the program is full for this year, we can put you on a waiting list or offer you admission for the next year. So, apply early, it’s better for you!
Currently we are accepting applications for the MAE class that will start in September 2013. You will receive an admissions decision within 15 days of when the application is complete.
Students who receive an admissions offer before June 15 are required to attend the on-line Preparatory Semester. Applications later than this face two possible complications:
1. Later applications might not be accepted because the program might be full by that time.
2. If the program is not full, admissions standards are somewhat higher after June 15, since the student has to succeed in MAE courses from the Fall Semester, without the preparation of the Preparatory Semester.
Of course, students who need a visa to study in the Czech Republic also face technical problems related to the visa when applying late. Late applicants can also be offered a place in the next year's cohort, or a place on a waiting list.
Qualified applications that cannot be processed in time for the student to start study in Prague in September will be considered for the next year's admissions.
There is no application fee.
To apply for the MAE Program
1. Fill out the MAE Online Application.

- scans of all your translated diplomas and transcripts (not required if the originals are in English),

- a scan of the main page of your passport, with picture.
3. Mail us by post the following paper materials:

Admissions Process
Applications are accepted throughout the year and you will receive an admissions decision within 15 calendar days of when your application is complete. Your application is not complete until we receive all uploaded files, mailed paper materials, and all responses from your references.
The admissions decision can be:
- Admit to the program
- Do not admit to the program
- Put on a waiting list until closer to the start of the program.
If you are offered admission to the program, you will receive a specific offer for the tuition level. To accept the offer, you will need to make a non-refundable tuition deposit payment within 30 days of when we send the offer to you. At that point your admission is secured, and you can plan on studying in the MAE Program in Prague the next September!
After you pay the non-refundable tuition deposit, MAE Study and Support office will contact you about visa and accommodation issues. We will guide you through each step of the visa application process.
Before the beginning of classes you will attend the Preparatory Semester. The Preparatory semester includes courses in mathematics, economics, and English which can be taken on-line or in Prague. If you apply after June 15th, you can’t attend the Preparatory Semester.
The academic year begins in mid-September.
