In March 2012, specialists engaged in brain research will again join together in both Europe and the USA to inform the general public about the results of their reseaerch. In Europe, these activities are coordinated by the European Dana Alliance for the Brain (EDAB) and in the USA by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives.
The 14th European Brain Awareness Week will take place in the Czech Republic from 12 – 16 March 2012 in the building of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Národní 3, Praha 1.

BAW is organized by: the Institute of Experimental Medicine ASCR, the Czech Society for Neuroscience, the Centre for Neuroscience and the Centre for Administration and Operations of the ASCR.
BAW includes a series of public lectures in which leading specialists present new discoveries and trends in brain research and inform the general public about recent developments in the field of neuroscience as well as in the treatment of brain disorders.
A press conference to mark the start of BAW will be held on Monday, 12 March 2012, in room 108 of the Academy of Sciences building, located at Národní 3, Praha 1.
