Evangelia Vourvachaki is an Assistant Professor at CERGE-EI (under US permanent charter), she is also an Assistant Professor at CERGE, Charles University and a Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic since September 2007. Since May 2012 she is on leave at the Central Bank of Greece. Received her B.Sc. in Economics (2001) from the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, M.Sc. in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics (2002) and Ph.D. in Economics (2008) from the London School of Economics, United Kingdom. She was awarded the Ely Devons Prize for best aggregate grade in M.Sc. E&ME (2002). During 2002–2007 she was an occasional Research Assistant for the Technology of the Centre for Economic Performance, and during 2005–2007 she was working as a Tutorial Fellow at the LSE. In 2006 she worked as a Summer Intern for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
