The team is a part of Dept. Chemistry of Solids. Its building started by the end of 1990s. The following topics are currently studied:

synthesis of metal oxides and pigments by methods suitable for industrial applications
synthesis and study of photocatalytsts
synthesis and study of materials for stoichiomteric degradation of chemical warfare agents and related organic pollutants

The team is a core of Laboratory of Bioinorganic Chemistry. Its materials chemistry topic is hybrid materials.
