The castle of Křivoklát belongs to the oldest and most important castles of the Czech princes and kings. The history of its construction starts in the 12th century (bus departure at 16:30 from conference venue).

Slovansky dům is located in the heart of Prague, directly on its main boulevard Na Prikope, next to Czech National Bank, across from The Powder gate. Straight to the garden you can enter from Senovazne square, approx. 50 metres from The Henry´s tower.

1. Grand city tour with Charles Bridge & Prague Castle in detail (bus+walking)

Join us to enjoy the highlights of the historical centre of Prague! Its area is 900 ha including 4000 monuments and it is the largest urban historical centre registered at the UNESCO heritage list. If You choose this tour, at first you will have the opportunity to admire the highlights of New Town with Wenceslas Square and National Museum, National Theatre, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and Lesser Town panorama on the trip by air-conditioned bus. Then the tour continues with a one-hour walking in Prague Castle which is the largest castle complex in the world. You will see the monumental St. Vitus cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, the St. George´s basilica. Our guide will of course reveal you the secrets of picturesque Golden Lane. After walking in the Prague Castle, You will take the bus again and will be going through Lesser Town to Kampa Island. Then You will go again by foot across the Charles Bridge from where you take a pleasant walk through the Old Town and Jewish Town. The sightseeing tour ends on the Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock on Old Townhall and Tyn Church.

2. Prague – historical jewish town (on foot)

Join us for a visit of Prague Jewish Town called Josefov (Joseph´s Town). Our tour starts with a walk through Old Town. At the birth house of Franz Kafka we will enter the original Jewish quarter. Our guide will inform you about the history of original Jewish ghetto and of the oldest synagogue in Middle Europe, Old-New Synagogue. You will walk through the Old Jewish Cemetery and also visit several synagogues that are part of the unique Prague Jewish Museum complex.

3. Franc Kafka´s Prague and Charles Bridge (on foot)
Franz Kafka is one of the well known native of Prague. Life and work of this worldwide known Jewish author was closely related to city of Prague at the turn of 20th century. If you choose this trip you will learn something interesting about this famous writer. The tour gets you to the romantic corners of Prague Old Town, Jewish quarter and Charles Bridge. The tour will finish in the Franc Kafka Museum.

4. Křižík Fountain with music performance (bus+on foot)

If you want to listen to nice music and at the same time follow a fascinating experience of singing fountain join us for the show of Krizik´s Fountain. 5. Český Krumlov (UNESCO) and České Budějovice (whole day trips, bus+walking)

Český Krumlov, medieval town in Southern Bohemia has kept its almost fairy-tale charm until today and by right is registered at UNESCO heritage list. Historical centre is created by narrow and bended little streets with number of gothic, renaissance and baroque houses that originated as mansions of noblemen families - the Rožmberks, the Schwarzenbergs and the Eggenbergs. You will walk through the town accompanied by our guide and you also will have a lunch in a medieval tavern. 6. Kutná Hora - UNESCO (bus+walking)

Kutna Hora, medieval centre of silver- mining was the second richest town of Czech kingdom. The variety of Kutna Hora architectural monuments and its well preserved structure of town centre reflexes its ancient fame and wealth until present. During your walk in Kutna Hora you will visit gothic cathedral of St. Barbara and Italian Court –
originally a Royal Mint. You will no less admire the other beautiful gothic, renaissance and baroque burgher houses or the unique stone dwell from 15th century. You also will visit one of the most interesting burial places in the world called Kostnice (Ossuary) in a small nearby village Sedlec. This chapel is decorated by more than 40 000 human bones, including e.g. a chandelier or a crest of noble family Schwarzenberg.

7. Terezín Memorial (bus+walking)

Formal military fort Terezín built in 18th century by emperor Joseph II. is inherently connected with the history of World War II. Better known as Big Fort - the town of Terezín itself was used as collecting camp of Jews from the whole Europe and in the same time during visit of International Red Cross Organization it was misused for Nazi promotion purposes. Small Fort Terezín was a cruel prison of Gestapo – Reich´s secret police. 8. Karlštejn Castle (bus+walking)

Karlstejn is one of the most visited Czech castles. It was built by emperor Charles IV. between 1348 - 1355. Karlstejn served as a depository of royal and empire jewels and coronation jewels and also as an archive of state documents. This gothic castle with enchanting monumental architecture is located about 38 km south of Prague. After climbing a hill you will do an hour sight-seeing of Karlstejn castle interiors. 9. Konopiště Castle (bus+walking)

Join us for a trip to the glorious Konopiste Castle formal seat of Habsburg throne successor Frantisek Ferdinand d´Este. This castle that originated in 14th century was bought by F.F. d´Este in 1887. This nobleman used all the mansion as his family residence until his death in Sarajevo which started the World War I. In castle interiors there are not only Ferdinand´s large art collections, numerous statues and pictures on St.George´s theme but you can also admire one of the world´s most extensive collection of historic weapons. 10. Pilsen and Pilsen Urquell Brewery (bus+walking)

Beer has been brewed in Plzen since time immemorial and the first written records about beer brewing here are associated with the very foundation of the town of Plzen. After our visit of the local museum presenting collections on trades, guilds and beer brewing history you will go for a walk in the city center and then have lunch in the local beer restaurant Spilka renowned for the traditional Czech cuisine and Pilsner beer fresh on tap. Having seen a film featuring the history of Pilsner Urquell Company you will be shown around the authentic places where this renowned beer has been brewed for ages - brewing - and malthouse, lager cellars - associated with fresh brewed beer tasting.
