Published: 5/2/2012
An international workshop under the title „Knowledge and Technology transfer – What is going on at practical level“ was organized by the Czech Liaison Office for Research and Development (CZELO) on 24 April 2012 in Brussels. Around 40 participants came to learn more about the very important topic of knowledge and technology transfer (KTT) that has become one of the key elements of national as well as European policies in the field of education, research, innovation, enterprise and industry. In parallel to the policy level, the KTT needs to be implemented by relevant actors in order to fully utilize the research results in the most efficient way.

After a brief presentation from Anna Vosečková from CZELO of the KTT landscape on policy level with the overview of information sources, the examples of how the KTT is dealt with by different types of institutions and with the use of varied financial sources were presented. For the first time ever, a Technology Transfer Offices Circle (TTO Circle) was introduced to the public by the Head of Unit for Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer at the DG JRC,  Mr. Giancarlo Caratti.
