- Evaluation of the cytostatic activity in four cancer cell lines (derived from both haematological malignancies and solid tumors) - XTT cell proliferation assay.
- Evaluation of the cell cycle effects (where applicable) - flow cytometric DNA content analysis of propidium iodide-stained permeabilized cells.
- Evaluation of the apoptotic effects (where applicable) - flow cytometric analysis of FITC-conjugated annexin V binding to externalized membrane phosphatidyl serine.
- Bromdeoxyuridine (BrdU) and Bromuridine (BrU) incorporation assays to assess DNA and RNA synthesis, respectively (flow cytometry).
