Speciální druhy laserů II – lasery emitující UV a rentgenové záření

V pondělí 22. dubna od 9:30 se na Fakultě elektrotechniky a informatiky VŠB – TU Ostrava uskuteční přednáška v rámci projektu Posílení kapacity vědecko-výzkumných týmů v oblasti fyzikálních věd (zkráceně Postdok) s názvem „Speciální druhy laserů II – lasery emitující UV a rentgenové záření“ z cyklu „HiLASE: Nové lasery pro průmysl a výzkum“. Přednášet bude výzkumník Ing. Martin Smrž, Ph.D. Akce proběhne ve spolupráci s projekty ELI Beamlines a HiLASE. Přednáška pokryje především tato témata:

Laserový den na UTB

Smyslem Laserových dnů je seznámit VŠ studenty s problematikou laserových technologií a jejich aplikací v praxi, a to jak formou krátkých seminářů, tak několika interaktivních demonstrací různých fyzikálních a optických jevů. Akce je otevřena všem, není nutné se registrovat.

Luminescence Modes in the Semiconductor Micro Structure

In the semiconductor microstructure there are two different modes: Fabry-Perot modes and whispering gallery modes. In the band-edge region, there are strong coupling between the exciton and the confined photon, which will lead a quasi-particle: polariton. In a ZnO semiconductor nanobelt with a transverse size of m, more than 20 modes are observed in the band-edge region, and more than 60 modes are observed in the visible region. The theoretical results demonstrate that in the band-edge region the luminescence modes are determined by the polariton modes.

V rámci projektu Top ELI a ve spolupráci s Vysokou školou ekonomickou se na Fakultě managementu VŠE v Jindřichově Hradci uskuteční přednáška manažera realizace projektu ELI Beamlines Alana Sneddona s názvem „Manažerské výzvy a rizika během výstavby nejintenzivnějšího laseru světa“. Přednáška proběhne v anglickém jazyce.

Studies of phase transitions in Fe containing ternary perovskite multiferroics

One of the promising ways of designing new single-phase multiferroic materials is adjusting the temperatures of both ferroelectric and magnetic phase transitions by ion substitutions in the host compound to obtain the maximal magnetoelectric coupling. The aim of the present talk is a brief review of the recent studies of both ferroelectric and magnetic phase transitions in some Fe containing ternary perovskite multiferroics, especially PbFe0.5B0.5O3 (B-Nb, Ta, Sb) and related solid solutions.
