Organic Chemistry (2009)

The solvation of organic ions is of fundamental importance for the understanding of the interaction of charged entities with media and biologically relevant molecules. The planned studies will focus on the interaction of nitrogen bases (e.g. azahelicenes, guanidines) with solvent molecules and apply organic synthesis, isotope labeling, and modern mass spectrometry.
