Winter educational seminar

Organizing committee: Ing. Lenka Hodakova, Mgr. Zdenek Remes, PhD., Ing. Alexander Kromka, PhD. and RNDr. Martin Ledinsky, PhD.

NEW! 4th seminar will be held in Rokytnice nad Jizerou Wednesday afternoon 30.1- Friday morning 1.2, 2013 (presentations Wednesday 30.1 and Thursday 31.1, evening 18:00-22:00), pleas e register by emailto hodakova@fzu.cz before January 25, 2013. The extended abstract to be published in the Proceedings should have at least 3 A4 pages writteln in English. The oral talk 20 min. If you do not plan to contribute to Proceedings, you may provide selected slides in PDF to be avaiable on our www pages.

The seminar is organized in winter as a joint activity of the Department of Thin Films and Nanostructures (26) and the Department of Optical Materials (27) in the frame of the CABIOM-Carbon-based Biomaterials and Biointerfaces (Virtual Research Center of the Institute of Physics ASCR,v.v.i.) at the skiareal Horni Domky, Rokytnice nad Jizerou The seminar is open for students working in the Institute of Physics as well as for the invited guests. It takes place in a mountain cottage (GPS N50º 44'50'', E15º 29'4''). The seminar is enjoined by students because of the possibility to spend the free time by sport activities. The evening lectures are focused on technology, measurement and data analysis available in labs of the Institute of Physics of the ASCR,v.v.i. The students present the results achieved in the frame of their PhD. theses. There are no conference fees. The attendance to the seminar is provided free of charge for the participants of the seminar under the condition that they will give in English an oral talk about their work or a topic that can be interested for others. As regards of the accommodation please do not hesitate to contact the organizing committee. Food is not provided. The cottage is equipped with electricity, WIFI, heating, cold and warm water and a kitchen with utensils. The organizers will provide a notebook, a projector and a screen. Please bring your presentation in PDF on USB or bring your own notebook with VGA output. The selected English written papers will be published in the Proceedings. You can join us to take a train R1140 departure from Praha hl. n. 9:25 to Tanvald, arrival to Harrachov at 12:46. At Harrachov railway station take a local bus to the last station and walk for about 1 hour uphill following green tourist line in the direction "Rucicky" (about 5 km, elevation 300m). Please, contact organizers who will have keys of the cottage.
