The Tenth Czech Days for European Research (CZEDER10)

Technology Centre ASCR in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS) would like to invite you to the conference 10th Czech Days for European Research (CZEDER) that will take place on October 25th, 2012 in the Diplomat Hotel, Evropská 370/15,
Prague 6. The main theme will be the preparation for the new European framework program for research and innovation - Horizon 2020.

The conference will consist of three sections focusing on the main ideas and objectives of Horizon 2020, excellent science and technology in Horizon 2020 and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). European Commission initiatives to support participation in the EU Framework Programmes will be discussed as well as the possible synergies between the Structural Funds and Horizon 2020 and also future and emerging technologies and strategies for integration into European research and development in different countries and institutions. On the conference will participate representatives of the European Commission, EIT, the ERC Executive Agency, foreign universities, research organizations and MEYS. Please find the program here.

A day before, on October 24th the colloquium on a strategic themeManagement of Large Research Infrastructures“ will forgo in Diplomat Hotel as well. Visions of management of the large research infrastructures in the Czech Republic (ELI IT4I, CEITEC), which are financed by the Structural Funds, will be presented in the morning part. In the afternoon the managers of major European research infrastructures will state with their management experiences. Among others, Mr. Silke Schumacher from EMBL Heidelberg (European Molecular Biology Laboratory), Mr. Jean-Marie Le Goff from CERN and Mr. Carlo Rizutto of Elettra will attend.
