The twenty second annual International Laser Physics Workshop (LPHYS'13) will be held from July 15 to July 19, 2013 in the city of Prague, Czech Republic, at the Hotel Krystal and Czech Technical University hosted by the Institute of Physics ASCR and Czech Technical University in Prague.
The Institute of Physics AS CR hosts a multidisciplinary symposium, joining together five otherwise independent regular meetings (IUS, ISAF, IFCS, EFTF, PFM) that are all devoted to various applications of piezoelectric materials. The event is organized on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the UFFC (Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control society).
FQMT’13 is a follow-up to the three previous, successful Prague conferences "Frontiers of Quantum and Mesoscopic Thermodynamics" (FQMT’04, FQMT’08, and FQMT’11). The contributions from these conferences are published in Physica E, vol. 29 (1-2), 2005, Physica E, vol. 42 (3), 2010, and Physica Scripta T151, 2012.
The program has two types of lectures.
Topics:
Repetition-rate X-ray sources with PW pulses;
Plasma physics with high-intensity pulses;
Biomolecular and medical applications with rep-rate X-ray sources and accelerated particle sources;
Electron and proton acceleration, applications;
Compact laser-generated-electron injected FEL;
Laboratory astrophysics;
Quantum dynamics in intense laser fields.

Esomat conferences are main European scientific events in the field of martensitic transformations in solids and more particularly in shape memory materials and steels. They have been held on a three-year cycle since 1989 and the Esomat2009 in Prague was the first conference held out of the former western Europe.
