will organize on February 22-24, 2006 the conference

 TOPICAL PROBLEMS OF FLUID MECHANICS

The conference will be held in the building of the Institute of Thermomechanics AS CR.

 

Scope of the conference

The aim of the conference is to discuss contemporary problems of fluid mechanics and to bring out latest results obtained in the course of solution of grant projects supported by Grant Agencies in the Czech Republic and abroad. The attendance of experts from the academician institutes, technical universities and from the other research institutions is assumed. The official language of the conference is English.

Contributions

Proposed contributions will be selected for oral presentation or for poster sessions with regards to the scope and language of presentation. Authors will be notified immediately by fax or e-mail.

A total period reserved per paper in the program is 15 minutes. Each lecture will be followed by time for discussion (5 minutes).

Posters are going to be exhibited for all the time of the conference. Time for discussion will be scheduled in the program. The instruction for preparing of a poster will be sent in a proper time to authors. 

Submission of camera ready contributions (concerning both lectures and posters) to be reprinted in Proceedings of the conference is up to January 31, 2006. The requirements for layout of manuscripts are enclosed. The contribution should be written on 6 A4 at maximum (even number of pages only!). Manuscripts which do not conform to the instructions or which exceed the permitted length cannot be accepted. Sending by e-mail can be accepted after foregoing agreement with regard to the file format only.

The registration fee covers organization expenses including one issue of Proceedings, lunch and small refreshment during the conference.

Accommodation

For a limited amount of participants there is a possibility to book a rooms in the Hotel Excellent in the vicinity of the Institute of Thermomechanics. Due to the small capacity of this hotel, prompt booking is advisable.
