  5. Mgr. Václav Potocek, PhD. (1985) presented the thesis Quantum walks defended in January 2013 at the Czech Technical University
  6. Mgr. Martin Sarbort, PhD. (1985) presented the thesis Non-Euclidean geometry in optics defended in July 2013 at the Masaryk University Brno
  7. Mgr. Jaroslav Trnka, PhD. (1983) presented the thesis Grassmannian origin of scattering amplitudes defended in July 2013 at the Princeton University

The verdict

At its closing session on November ??, 2013, the jury decided to award the main prize to for the thesis A breakthrough in particle physics which focused the stucture of matter

The jury also decided to give a honourable mention to the thesis of entitled A weighty contribution to statistical physics
