Chemical and Instrumental analysis of Solids

Analysis of solids is a combination of analytical chemistry, physico-chemical instrumental techniques and contemporary methods of materials characterization. In IIC materials characterization is systematically performed in Centre of Instrumental Techniques, which develops XRD, electron microscopy and further techniques. Mössbauer spectroscopy and microanalysis and non-invasivene analysis of artworks are performed in that department.

Sedimentary archives are studied in Analytical Laboratory, which is aimed at chemostratigraphy and reconstruction of past environments from sedimentary records.
