Pavlov I - northwest

Pavlov I je mezi grawettskými sídlišti Moravy jedinečný velikostí jednorázově prozkoumané plochy, jednotnou strategií výzkumu i komlexností nálezových situací (obydlí, umění, hrob). V pořadí druhá monografie, zaměřená tentokrát do severozápadní části tohoto sídliště, je výsledkem mezinárodního týmu specialistů. Mezi klíčovými tématy je např. hrob muže (E. Vlček, E. Trinkaus), umění (B. Klíma), keramika (O. Soffer, P. Vandiver) a zejména nový objev otisků tkanin a šňůr (J. Adovasio a kol.).

Pavlov I. is unique among the large Gravettian Sites of Moravia, due to the size of the investigated area, single excavation strategy, and complexity of the archeological record (dwellings, art, burial). This second monograph, centered, this time, to the northwestern part of the site, presents results of an international team of specialists. Among the key topics are the male burial (E. Vlček, E. Trinkhaus), art (E. Klíma), ceramics (O. Soffer, P. Vandiver), and specifically, the new discovery of textiles and cordage impriuts (J. Adovasio at al.).
