The department is providing technical support to other departments of the ELI Beamlines Project Division. That means particularly construction and design work on mechanics, optomechanics and fine mechanics, electronics and vacuum technology. The department is also in charge of production of verification units of laser systems, technical specifications for tender procedure, technical support when dealing with suppliers and assist with installation of technology.
