Filip Matějka Wins 2011 František Vencovský Prize
November 28, 2011
CERGE-EI is proud to announce that Filip Matějka, an Assistant Professor at CERGE-EI, was awarded a share of first prize in the 2011 Prof. František Vencovský Prize along with a pair of researchers from the Czech National Bank.
The Prize, named after Professor František Vencovský, a well-known Czech economist, is given biannually by the University of Finance and Administration to young researchers under 35 years of age. Filip's paper, titled “Information Frictions and Monetary Policy,” shares the first prize with two co-awardees, Adam Geršl and Jakub Seidler, who are researchers at the Czech National Bank. CERGE-EI would like to congratulate Filip and wish him continued success in the future!
