Third Place for CERGE-EI Graduate Peter Ondko

The Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) Jozef Makúch, has granted third prize to our Ph.D. graduate Peter Ondko for his dissertation titled “Essays on Access to External Finance, Acquisitions and Productivity”.

NFKJ Neuron Award for Filip Pertold

Filip Pertold was granted the NEURON 2013 Award for young Economics researchers under the age of 40. His research will study how motherhood influences the career lives of Czech women. During his research, Filip will compare the career advancement of Czech women with women from other European countries, primarily Denmark.

13th Workshop of the Global Development Network

On 15-16 August 2013, CERGE-EI held its 13th annual workshop for grantholders in the Global Development Network (GDN)-financed Regional Research Competition. The GDN provides funds to support high-quality regional research on applied, policy-relevant topics.
