Abstract: The theory of the electronic excitation energy transfer between two separate nanostructures, like between e.g. two molecules, has been given attention for many decades in both the experimental and theoretical way. One of the most familiar and important theoretical approaches of how to understand this transfer is the one suggested in the middle of the 20th century by Fӧrster. Using the exciton picture, the model of two quasi-zero-dimensional nanostructures and the electron-phonon interaction, we show how the so called uphill and downhill processes, observed in the kinetic processes of the photosynthesis, can be treated.
