Honorary Degree Ceremony

We are honored to announce that Prof. Orley Ashenfelter (Joseph Douglas Green 1895 Professor of Economics at Princeton University), former President of the American Economic Association and editor of the American Economic Review, former member of the CERGE-EI Executive and Supervisory Committee, and current member of the CERGE-EI Foundation Board of Directors, will be awarded an honorary doctorate from Charles University on January 15, 2014.

The ceremony will begin at 2:30 pm at the historical Karolinum hall of Charles University (Ovocny trh 3, Prague 1) and will be followed by a reception.

The award gives us all a chance to celebrate the success of CERGE-EI's first two decades together with one of its key supporters who also happens to be one of the leading economists of our times.
