This project shall be researched by the Institute of Contemporary History in the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Two other institutions shall act as co-researchers, being significantly capable to support the aims, namely The Museum of the City of Ústí nad Labem, a leading museum institution in the region that is historically connected with the fates of the project addressees, an the National Archives Prague, the most significant institution in archive research in the Czech Republic. Besides that, other partners should cooperate, too, for instance the Living Memory Society, a public profit corporation, or the wireless corporation Post Bellum.

This project is based on the Government Decree No 1081 (Aug 24, 2005). It should be launched by an information campaign intending to present the Decree to the respective persons in the countries of their present domicile. Further information sources shall be sought for, too, in particular through a thorough research in archive funds both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The results achieved during the assessing of the circle of persons that should be of concern shall be embodied in a computer database of the project addressees (this d-base should include both the information on living as well as on deceased persons). The fates of the selected individuals shall be documented with application of the methods applied within the frames of the so-called "oral history" and recorded with application of audio-visual techniques. We intend to document ca. 100 persons through voice recordings, plus ca. 5 persons by means of a video document. The professional public shall be addressed by a series of editions and historical publications. When presenting the project to general public, an extensive scale of medial devices and action shall be applied, namely the international conferences, itinerant exhibition, permanent exposition, school project, film document, broadcast programmes, or internet presentation.
