Biophysics of dynamic structures and functions of biological systems

Research will be focused on: relations between the primary structure of the DNA and its conformational properties, with respect to evolution of genomes interactions of DNA with proteins (histones, HMG proteins, oncoproteins) and with metal–containing anticancer drugsinteractions of DNA and proteins in interphases in the relation to chemical sensors developed for genomics and proteomics the architecture of the cell nucleus, organisation and modifications of chromatin, structure and function of nucleoproteins and telomeric complexes, dynamics of genomes and genomic territories relations between gene expression, cell differentiation, oncogenic transformation and development effects of endo– and exogenous mediators modifying proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis in cell populations computer simulations of dynamic structures and interactions of DNA/RNA with proteins and biologically active compounds. Applications will be directed to medicine, agrobiology, ecotoxicology and biotechnology.
