Faculty Research on International Scientist Migration Cited in Prestigious Weekly
October 24, 2012
Assistant Professor Patrick Gaulé, who joined the CERGE-EI faculty this academic year, has been mentioned in an article in Nature, an international weekly journal of science.
The article, titled "Global mobility: Science on the move" discusses the international migration of scientists, references Patrick's research on the primary motivations behind scientists' decisions to migrate around the world. Conventional wisdom would indicate that scientists typically migrate towards places where research money was more readily available, though Patrick's research shows that there are numerous other factors that influence migration patterns. Congratulations!
