The Representation of the European Commission in the CR presented programme of FP7 for 2013

On July 10, 2012  the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic organised a press event with the aim to present the new work programme of the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) for 2013.
The work programme was clearly presented by Rita Lecbychova, the head of Joint Programming Unit of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission. For 2013, which is the last year of the FP7, EUR 8.1b has been allocated. During her speech, Mrs Lecbychova highlighted that “this financial framework was accepted by the European Commission on July 9 and published through 52 calls on July 10, 2012 to motivate the best European researchers and innovators”. Jan Michal, the director of the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic, who moderated the press event, introduced the presentations on good examples of currently running research projects of universities and research centres.

The Technology Centre ASCR introduced its new project named PACITA (Parliaments and Civil Society in Technology Assessment) as one of the successfully running projects financed by the FP7. The PACITA project and the TC ASCR activities were presented by Lenka Hebakova, Strategic Studies Department, managing the project in the Czech Republic.
Universities were represented by research project called CHOBOTIX, which has been running in the Laboratory of Chemical Robotics, Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the Institute of Chemical Technology Prague. Another presented project was  ProPIG, implemented by the Institute of Animal Science.
