—The subject of the proposal is the analysis of common sense.
A more balanced view of the concept of common sense might be achieved with the
help of a conceptual analysis of its use in the history of philosophical
reflection. Conceptual analysis of common sense, based on historical research,
may contribute to a better understanding of the Enlightenment and its so called
"project of modernity". The starting point might be a diagnosis of
the source of problems in our conceptual framework that have often resulted in
the reduction of rationality to the technology of power. In the next step, the
successful realisation of the project should lead to a synthetic treatment of
the subject in a separate monograph. The immediate outcome should consist in a
series of articles and an international conference on the subject.

—The aim of the project is to produce a three-volume history of political thought by distinguished Czech scholars. Each volume will introduce, in chronological order, the most significant political thinkers and movements of political thought. The first volume would be dedicated to the political thought of Ancient Greece and Rome; the second to the Middle Ages and the Reformation; the third to the development of modern political thought from the Renaissance up to the First World War. The envisaged work would hope to promote the study of political thought in its historical and philosophical dimension, as well as in its own right. It is thus intended for students and researchers not only in the fields of philosophy and political science, but also in those of law, sociology and history, and would indeed hope to be of interest to the broader educated public.

—The aim of the project was to produce original studies in the field of modern and contemporary conceptions of subjectivity as well as to prepare collections of important essays and commented translations of the key works in the field. We will propound new viewpoints on the topic and discuss them with distinguished international experts. Our efforts will contribute to strenghtening of important international contacts that are beneficial for Czech philosophical community. On the level of recent discussions in the field we will elaborate teaching modules for university courses, that will make use of the produced literature as textbooks. We will publish our results via scientific print as well as via university courses.

—The aim of the project was to produce a comprehensive edition of studies, translations and commentaries in German classical philosophy. The edition will reflect the new systematic and methodological approaches to the philosophy of I. Kant, J. G. Fichte, F. W. J. Schelling and G. W. F. Hegel pursued by scholars in the English- and German-speaking countries during the second half of the twentieth century. The project aims to serve the development of scholarship and study of German classical philosophy in the Czech Republic for the next decade and beyond.
