Earned his Ph.D. degrees in Economics (2003) from the University of Economics, Prague, and in Science, technology and innovation studies (2005) from the University of Oslo, Norway. From 2000 until 2003 he was working as a Macroeconomic Analyst of NEWTON, Prague. Since 2002 he has been working at the TIK Centre of the University of Oslo, Norway (Ph.D. Student, Postdoctoral Fellow, Researcher). He has published in World Development, Review of World Economics, Research Policy, Regional Studies, Eastern European Economics and other journals. Since 2010 he is a Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Research Orientation:
Economics of Innovation, International Economics and Economic Development.
