Organization
The Institute of Psychology resides in Brno. There is a branch of the Institute in Prague, where a library offering services to students and professional public can be found.
Postgraduate Study
Since 2003, the Institute cooperates in realizing doctoral programs in general and social psychology.
The general psychology program is organized with the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University. The social psychology program is organized with the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University.
Research Projects
The research at the Institute covers a wide range of topics. The most important projects are described at our web pages. The Institute's research aims are subsumed within the 2005-2010 research plan "The human being in the contexts of life-span development". Projects of highest social importance are listed in the section "Featured projects".
Research Outcomes
The research outcomes are published in Czech as well as international journals, monographs, research reports, popular journals, and the media.
Journal
The Institute of Psychology publishes the journal Československá psychologie, the only impacted psychological journal in the Czech Republic. The journal, established in 1957, has a long scientific tradition and welcomes contributions from psychological research & theory, as well as psychological practice.
