Laserové dny 2014

Na letní semestr 2013/2014 jsme v rámci projektů OP VK připravili pokračování úspěšné informačně – vzdělávací akce nazvané Laserový den. Během Laserových dnů studenty univerzit seznamujeme s problematikou laserových technologií a jejich aplikací v praxi, a to jak formou krátkých seminářů, tak několika interaktivních demonstrací různých fyzikálních a optických jevů. Celá akce trvá zpravidla 3 – 4 hodiny. V předsálí vždy studentům demonstrujeme několik fyzikálních a optických pokusů.

Workshopy "Ad hoc" o programu Jana2006 jsou dvoudenní akce pořádané autory krystalografického programu Jana2006. Účastníci workshopu si sami vybírají témata, která jsou vyvěšena na webové stránce, a workshop se koná, jakmile se několik osob shodne na výběru témat. Témata sedmnáctého workshopu jsou následující: (INT1) Simple 3d structures; (INT2) Simple 4d modulated structures; (DIS) Disordered structures; (RIG) Application of rigid body; (TW) Twinning. XXI Czech-Polish seminar: Structural and ferroelectric phase transitions

The idea of regular scientific meetings of physicist involved in studies of ferroelectrics and phase transitions in Poland and Czechoslovakia followed inevitably from the success of first such event in Blazejewko in 1979. The Seminar was organized in collaborating of the Department of Dielectric of the Institute of Physics of Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences and Ferroelectric Lab of the Institute of Molecular Physics of Polish Academy of Sciences. The Seminars are an international forum for presentation of recent results, unconstrained discussions and initiating of joint studies.

Strong electron correlation effects in complex d- and f-based magnetic materials for technological applications

It is widely recognized that the first-principles based calculations of strongly correlated materials are important for understanding physical and chemical properties. The quantitative materials theory makes remarkable impact on the modern technology. This workshop aims to disseminate the present knowledge in this rich and vivid field. We invite both theoreticians and experimentalists to discuss development and applications of the correlated band methods based on a combination of the density functional theory and the dynamical mean field theory.

The 8th European Symposium on Martensitic Transformations ESOMAT 2009

While maintaining the traditional scientific topics of the ESOMAT series in focus, in particular the theoretical and experimental research of materials with martensitic transformation (MT), the scientific program of the ESOMAT 2009 conference is organized in groups: A (basic research) and B (applied research). Konference série Esomat jsou nejvýznamnější konference v oboru martenzitických transformací, konkrétně ve slitinách s tvarovou pamětí a ocelích v Evropě. Jsou organizovány od roku 1989 s tříletou periodicitou. Konference Esomat2009 v Praze byla první organizovaná mimo původní země západní Evropy.
