CERGE-EI

IDEA Think Tank is a project of of the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (EI). EI jointly with the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education constitutes CERGE-EI. 

About the EI

The Economics Institute (EI) of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic was established in 1992 as a successor to two previous institutes that were dissolved at that time. It was created to further both high-quality research and training in scientific economics. The Academy of Sciences itself traces its history to the Royal Czech Society of Sciences, which was established in the Czech Crown lands in 1784.
