Libor Dušek has been an Assistant Professor at CERGE, Charles University, and a Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic since September 2003. He was also an Assistant Professor at CERGE-EI (under US permanent charter) from September 2003 to August 2012. He served as a Deputy Director for Development and Public Relations (September 2006 – August 2009, November 2010- December 2011) at CERGE and EI. He received his Ph.D. in Economics, University of Chicago, 2003. M.A. in Economics, Charles University, Prague, 1998. B.A. in Economics, Charles University, Prague, 1995. Junior Researcher, Progress and Freedom Foundation, Washington, D.C., 1995–1996. Research Fellow, Liberální Institut, Prague, 1997–1999. Research Assistant for Steven D. Levitt and Gary S. Becker, University of Chicago, 1999–2001.

Research orientation:
